Become an “investor”

Most important thing to say right off the bat is you ain’t gonna be making any money by investing in us. You want your money to grow? Check out crypto or day-trading or whatever. You want your money to go towards an awesome initiative that you can later become a part of? Look no further.

With the way we’ve got our business model now, we don’t need all that much to get the ball rolling. We do a few consultations and save up some money - that’s enough for a couple scouting trips a year. Now, if someone (read: you) wanted to chip in some cash to make this whole process go a bit faster, well then be my guest! I have no idea how this whole investment thing works, so here’s what I’m thinking off the top of my head of the different levels of investment:

1) “The surf bum”: You chip in enough for us to take a super bare-bones trip in the “local” area (that being same hemisphere and ocean of current residence). Then, in say a year or two, if you wanna go on a trip to that area after we’ve scouted it, then we’ll take a salary cut for that same amount you chipped in earlier, plus throw in some goodies along the way.

2) “The local legend”: OK so your the local legend at your spot, and now you wanna be a legend at Leland, so you contribute enough for us to go on a proper mission - we’re talkin’ weeks in the African bush scoping out the best spots and making tons of local connections. We’ll gladly forego our salaries on any surf-trip you wanna go on after making that one happen.

3) “The GOAT”: You’re so into this idea that you don’t really put a cap on the amount, you’re just like BillaCurl with their top athlete: ‘here’s our credit card - go have fun’. We’ll come back to you with all the intel and drag you along on your dream adventures for the foreseeable future.

These are just sleep-deprived ramblings after a long night shift in the emergency room… no promises or commitments here, just ideas. Hit us up if you want to contribute to the cause and we’ll try and find a way to make it worth your while.
